About Us

Southern Rewinding and Sales was founded in 1986 as a small electric motor repair shop with 2 employees. It is now one of the largest providers of sales & service for electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, generators, and other industrial equipment in the Southeast. We have grown into a successful multi-location enterprise with more than 65 employees, many with 20-plus years of experience.

Southern Rewinding and Sales was acquired by Magnetech Industrial Services, Inc. in May 2015 to operate as a subsidiary within the Infrastructure Solutions segment of IES Holdings, Inc. (IES). Southern Rewinding and Sale’s service offerings and shop capabilities are complementary with Magnetech’s Saraland location. Together they make up the motor rewinding segment of Magnetech.
